"tres gellows"

Each tryptich is made of individual signed and numbered prints - edition is 200

   THIS has been a fun piece, and was prompted by the enthusiasm that's followed "soap". I was drawn to the bright, happy color of Jell-O, and of course loved the light coming through the cubes which created all sorts of shapes and textures throughout the various layers. I also enjoyed the glowing shadow and reflection cast on the tiles in the foreground. The original reference image was my first time using my new 4"x5" view-camera, with which I was able to really manipulate the plane of focus and the distortion (notice the tiles do not recede in a straight line).  The original "gellow" is of course red. I then created reproductions in purple and green, and am working on an orange.
