Hello everyone!

     Well, January is behind us already, but the year is young and overly-ambitious as always. I've finished (for the most part) the film I was working on, and must admit I had more fun than I expected. As usual, I met some great people, and in the end that seems to be what it's always about for me. Aside from producing, I found myself overwhelmed with running the transportation department, the production office, and all of the accounting (which is not quite done yet), and one night, I even got to play pyrotechnician for a few hours. So, what did I learn?

#1 - I understand now, why the Teamsters exist. :-) No more 'Transpo Captain' for me in the future.

#2 - I can survive the inevitibility of disappointing people on occasion.

#3 - The film industry has little time or compassion for 'individuals', but I can separate myself from 'the industry'.

#4 - I learned that lighting things on fire is quite fun and therapeutic!

#5 - My son (who turns 16 next week) IS fully capable of hard work with a sense of urgency! I witnessed it several times during this shoot.

     I look forward to producing again one day, but I can't deny I'm also QUITE EXCITED to be back to creating and traveling to the art shows!

     O.k., Admittedly, I'm rather frantically trying to get this put together and sent out before I hit the road for Florida, and I'm just kinda filling in with the pictures below, but nevertheless here they are. :)
     I wanted to share some pictures from this recent film production, but I didn't take any, and it seems no one thought a photo of me sitting frantically at a laptop, or running to turn on generators, or fretting over whether golf carts were getting charged made an interesting photo.

Florida! Here we come!!!!

     Indeed WE, at this point both my son and daughter are joining me for the Florida circuit. FREE LABOR!!! :-)

(above) One of the only pictures I could find of me on set, was of my hind quarters. I am speaking with Cinematographer (and new friend) Barry Stone, who is about to be pushed around on the dolly bye "Peaches" (some of you may recognize Duane from his many days helping to build the house).

(below) I just thought I'd share - this morning I was awakened by the racket of cattle grazing literally out my back door.
