Well, I'm back from my 3rd Texas run! For three weeks I set
up, tore down, painted, met thousands of people, avoided tornados, built
another typewriter (see right), and even sold a few pieces of art; like this
new green apple piece, below. It was finished on a Friday morning, hung in
the booth Friday afternoon, and purchased by a Texas collector Friday
evening. That sure is a nice contrast to the paintings that take three weeks
to complete, and bounce around the country with me for a year! :-) |

(below) "black apple study". Some of you in Texas will
have seen this piece twice now, but I thought I'd share it with the rest of
the list now as well. I imagine this may be an ever-evolving piece. It is a
HUGE one (at least for the shows) at 48" wide by 36" tall. I think I will
just keep playing around with it until someone purchases it. Not sure where
I'm headed with it yet, but I'm just enjoying the experiment. ![]() |
