Whew!!! Busy, busy month! First, I welcome all the folks who signed up at this string of shows in Mt.Dora, Jupiter, Naples and Tampa, Florida. The weather was fantabulous, the shows were fun, and I was neighbored by lots of talented artists with great works at every show! And to top it off, I'm in the middle of one of my own most diverse creative spurts ever! I'm quite excited to share lots of new work with everyone, but I've been playing so much, I can't even fit it all into just one Noozleddar! In fact, it'll probably take three or four (which is good because soon I will have to put the artwork on hold for a solid month of building my house). I will also mention here that the response to the idea of publishing a calendar with my paintings was overwhelmingly positive! I'll explore this further and follow up for input in the upcoming weeks! Thanks to all who wrote to me. I apologize for not being able to respond to everyone personally. Between art shows, building, traveling, and painting, it can sure be tough keeping up with email. :-) Meanwhile, in the past month, while floating around Florida, I completed 12 new pieces of art, including some total departures from my 'usual' painting style. To start with, as many of you have heard, the green apples have been such a hit, and equally fun to paint that I've been brewing all sorts of different ways to see them. I've just completed two different paintings of apples splashing through water (the first one is above/right). I've also added three more 'abstract realism' apples to that set, bringing it to six - 16"x16" pieces on wood panel thus far. I will include all of these in an upcoming issue! |

during 'Artigras' in Jupiter, Florida. |
![]() I was also spontaneously driven to create a much looser, quite vibrant and dramatic representation of the light in a Southeastern Arizona sunset! This quickly led to two more paintings of similar style (which will also show up online here in the near future). It's been great fun to hear what other people see in this piece. Toss me a note, and let me know what you see happening here! |
