Pardon the delayed welcome to 2008. Holy Mackeral - Over a month has gone by
since the last noozleddar! I hope all your holidays (Christmas or otherwise)
and New Year's have gone quite swell! I, once again felt incredibly grateful for
the presence of my children (and their assorted friends) during the season.
I spent much of November defiantly declaring that I WOULD put up a Christmas
tree at the new house . . . but in the end, time won (as
is usually the case).
I've primarily been SWAMPED with trying to get further along on the
house. We're almost done with exterior finishing, and have been plowing
forward with plumbing, electrical, and drywall.

(above) I thought y'all might
get a kick out of one of the more 'artsy' components I've created for the
house. This concrete countertop was formed to sit atop a granite sink, and
when I realized I wouldn't be able to match the shape of the sink exactly, I
decided it would be better to let it become a little loosy-goosy at the
edges.
