REStevensArt News 37 - 07/17/07   -   www.restevensart.com

Hi everyone!!!!

Well, I don't have any new paintings to share yet, but I do have some more artwork - in the form of components of the new house/studio.

(right)  I just had to share this photo. Here in Az., we are at the head of monsoon season. Winds from the South bring in afternoon rainstorms with gorgeous skies, impressive lightning, and booming thunder. In fact, the nearby mountains are named the Huachuca's, which means "Thunder" in one of the native American dialects. Anyway, whilst building yesterday, this beautiful split rainbow appeared to beam down on us, and we all grabbed our picture phones and cameras. Man, it makes me glad to be alive, and grateful to be building where I am!

(below) Here you can see the decorative steps that lead from the entryway down into the kitchen. These were created by mounting polyurethane crown moulding boards with ornate leaf/grape patterns in them, onto the faces of the step forms just prior to pouring the concrete. I love 'em!

Per many requests, I've set up a page dedicated to the progress on the house -
HERE! If that link doesn't work, you can copy the following URL to your browser -

Otherwise, back in the ART world - I thought I would take this opportunity to describe for the latest list of folks (a repeat for the noozleddar vets) some options for acquiring REStevensArt on a budget. See below.

MEANWHILE
AN ART SHOW!

While I won't be traveling around to art shows until the Fall, I am going to be in a local show next month. For the entire month of August, I will have a collection of pieces on display at the Huachuca Art Association Gallery in Sierra Vista, Az. (3818 Astro Drive) There will be a mix of giclee's, and originals, including the two below.

Check out the 2007
"Show Schedule"

I notice that a whole lot of people following my artwork are rich in taste, yet nevertheless working with limited budgets and this has inspired these two ideas for acquiring my reproductions more affordably.

OPTION 1: Un-stretched Canvasses. Purchasing a reproduction as an un-stretched canvas saves you in two ways. #1, since it is less material and labor on my end, I can sell them at a significantly discounted price. #2, a rolled canvas in a tube ships for much less than a mounted, and boxed piece. This canvas is numbered, signed, and varnished, and can then be taken to any local frame shop and stretched on either standard or 'gallery wrap' stretchers for a minimal cost. Check your local area, but my research thus far has revealed prices ranging from $30-$75.

So for instance, only for those receiving the noozledder and only for a limited time, I will offer my full size giclee's which are normally priced at $895, for
ONLY $595!!!! and my smaller $495 giclee's are priced this way at ONLY $295!!!! AND, during this introductory period I will even INCLUDE SHIPPING within the continental U.S. This is a savings of over 35% PLUS no charge for shipping! This does not apply to originals, or 'deconstructed' pieces, but to just about every other reproduction at the website - www.restevensart.com .

OPTION 2: 0% financing for 6 months! Yes - just like those jewelry and furniture stores and whatnot! As long as the artwork is bought directly through me with a credit card (not via PayPal), I will simply divide the purchase price into 6 equal monthly payments. This means, you could have a  full size  - 24"x36" of "Sunset & Harley" for just $99 initially, or a 20"x20" of "soap" for only $49 (custom colors of "soap" are an additional $80 ttl.). After the initial payment, all subsequent payments will be charged on the 1st or 15th of the month (your choice).

Simply send me a note to
roderick@cinema-vista.com, or call (323)353-8202 and let me know which piece you're interested in and whether you want to take advantage of OPTION 1, OPTION 2, or both - and you'll have a piece of artwork shipped out to you as promptly as possible!
