Bon Jour!!!
Welcome all the latest visitors from
Tucson, Arizona, to the "noozleddar"! As happens every time at the 4th Ave. Street Fair, the guestbook was
quite busy!
Otherwise, the painting rampage continues! While
attending the Scottsdale show a few weeks ago, I was suddenly inspired to
explore two new concepts. On the right is a new manifestation of the green
apple. This is on a 12"x12"x2.5" deep wooden panel called a 'cradle'. As you
can see, I continued the image '3-dimensionally' around all of the edges.
I
don't plan on doing reproductions, so this is a rare 'one off' original
painting. Send me a note to
roderick@cinema-vista.com if this piece interests you.
This new set (see below) consists of more unique and
striking interpretations of the popular fruit pieces. As much as I
know many of you just can't imagine it . . . I was in a
'black' mood - and the idea of doing 'black' fruits came to me. I simply
referred to and altered the same photos I used for the original fruit
pieces, except for the peach, which simply turned into a plum. :-) The
black apple was promptly juried into a month-long exhibition called "The
Best Of The Southwest". |

(above) "green apple box". This
one of a kind, original acrylic on wood cradle will not be available as a
giclee on canvas reproduction. $900,00 ($100 off the show price for the 'noozleddar'
folks!) |
