Hi Everyone!!

Welcome!!! to the new list-o-folks from the Scottsdale area. What a show! The Scottsdale Art Festival (aka the "Museum Show") is one of the top rated art shows in the country, and I now know why! It's a big 'un.

The weather was great! I was, once again, surrounded by an impressive collection of artists (some familar faces, some new friends). And the crowd was lively; including a surprise visit to my booth by Alice Cooper! Fun times.

I premiered the two 'white rose' pieces (below and .  .  . below) that I painted while attending the shows in Florida last month. "White Rose 01" is an 18"x48" on wood panel, which I wired up to hang four different ways, and is available as a 16"x40", or 12"x32" giclee. "White Rose 02" is a 36"x36" triptych on three wood panels, and is available as a triptych, or as a one piece square in 30"x30" or 20"20" sizes.

I don't know what it was. Could'a been the fact that it was Valentine's Day, and there were roses EVERYWHERE!; but while I was in Florida, I was suddenly struck with the inspiration to do several 'rose' paintings. I've got another, not quite finished piece I hope to share soon.

I know I said I wasn't going to get much painting done this spring, but as is often the case with artists, I've been on a bit of an unexpected painting rampage lately. I've got some very interesting pieces, rather different from anything I've ever shown, that I will include in the next noozleddar, and will debut at the 4th Avenue Street Fair in Tucson next weekend. I iz pretty excited about them.

Remember, I'm always looking for ideas for where to donate pieces for charities, so toss me a note if you know of something.

Meanwhile, lots to catch up on, so I'm back to work.
