Happy (belated) New Year!!!!

I've been giddily busy proceeding with my house; out on the lot taking a daily beating and loving every minute of it! My body is feeling things it's never known before, but I wouldn't trade this experience for anything! If you'll indulge me for a half a noozleddar, there's more art news and whatnot in the 2nd half.

Meanwhile, I realize that snowfall may be a rather common winter-time occurrence for many of my fellow northern hemisphere inhabitants - but here in my corner of the desert it's a rarity, and we just got the biggest snow we've had in years. So, I thought I'd share some snapshots of my temporarily stalled construction progress.

Of course, when assorted delivery folk crest the hill and see these corrugated steel tubes sticking up into the sky (see below) they know "this guy must be one of those artist types!" :-)

(above) Essential elements of my design are these galvanized steel culverts set upright and filled with concrete to serve as structural supports as well as roof drainage. I've been brewing for 6 months about how to get those 20' tall ones into place!

(right) My daughter and her beau were instrumental in getting the deck supports built, which officially began construction of the house. That was an exciting day in early January!

(below) It makes me giddy to see cows and deer and coyotes, jack-rabbits, and javelina on a daily basis out here!

I've finally updated it!

Meanwhile - I would like to share some special items with my "noozleddar" folks. In the process of generating giclee's of my work, we often create what we call "Printer's Proofs". It only recently occurred to me to offer them for sale here. These are generally either the smaller of the two available sizes, or sometimes even a bit smaller than that. For instance a small "on the rocks" is normally 20"x20", but I have two 'Printer's Proofs' that are 16"x16".
I am ONLY offering these here to this list, and will not be marketing them anywhere else. These are very rare prints on two counts.

#1 - These are signed and numbered, but the editions range anywhere from 15 at the very most, to as few as 4 on some pieces.

#2 - Generally speaking, although they are an edition, each one of these is ultimately a one of a kind, because there are often subtle changes or corrections on each one.

These are a great collectors item, and yet I will offer them to this group for the same discounted prices the regular giclee's are available for. This means, if I have it mounted already, it is $395 ($100 off retail), or if available as an unmounted canvas - then it's $295.00. There are some exceptions, and variations to all of this, but there are too many individual pieces to itemize here. Suffice it to say - I have 'Printer's Proofs' of many paintings - so if there is something you're interested in, simply send me a note, or call me and I will let you know what's available.

Well - I'm back to trying to get warm, and getting ready for these upcoming Florida shows. I've got a few pieces I'll be working on while traveling and showing, and I'll share 'em as soon as I can! 'Till then - talk to y'all L8R,
