And so we begin!
LOTS of dirt work, and uncovering more large rocks than a Roman archeologist!
STILL moving incredible amounts of dirt and rocks. Then starting on the deck, and the forms for the footings around the middle section of the house.
The adventure enters toddler stage. We finished the forms for the garage slab and footings around the kitchen & dining room, but God decided it wasn't time to pour concrete for a couple-o- weeks.

was spent traveling around Florida, Arizona, California, and Texas doing a heavy string of art shows.
Finally back to work!
Finally putting some steel together! I'm now 7 months into my 1 year build period and nowhere close to halfway into it. EEEK!
The garage is up, and nearly finished, and concrete pour #2 is behind me. One pour left. We're cooking now!
Concrete's all done! And now, we're making significant headway on the East wing, and starting on the West wing.
ALMOST made my goal of getting completely closed in in August!

well . . . sort of. ALL but one window, and all doors are in.
Entryway, exterior finishing, utilities, and starting drywall.
FLORIDA!!!!
I spent the month bouncing around the Florida art shows, and built a giant, mixed media typewriter while I was there!
By the end of March, for the first time I began to envision a finished house on the horizon.

MAY 08
This month we're pushing to finish up the West wing, where Jr. and I will live whilst we finish the rest of the house.
Fortunately the HVAC is done, cause it's been HOT this year already!
Rooms are starting to look livable!!!
Not bad for only one week of work in between Colorado and Chicago art shows.
Finishing up some final projects to prepare for occupancy.
