BACK to "House Home"

I spent pretty much ALL MONTH trying to get closed in. Waiting for steel. Waiting for doors and windows. Waiting for Brian to stop whining. Waiting for steel. Catching snakes and other critters. Waiting  .  .  . for steel. Meanwhile, I worked on other things and admittedly didn't stop often to take pictures. I promise - more pix next month.

The house is almost completely enclosed now. All walls save that sliver to the left of the entrance, and the back side of the loft are up!

The West wing end wall is up, including windows.

The South wall of the West wing is done, though I'm still waiting for steel to finish the eaves over the wall.

Though a deck isn't an urgent necessity, I wanted a safer platform for working on the 2nd floor South walls for the loft and dining room.

This is the view of the enclosed dining room, from the loft.

This is the top of the dining room roof.

Whilst waiting for steel to finish the loft, we starting putting up the studs for the laundry room, and loft stairwell.

Still waiting for steel, so I started on the exterior finish, called EIFS. It's like a synthetic stucco, almost like a fiberglass skin on the house.

Starting the EIFS on the West wing end wall.
