I had to have a MONSTROUS, 4.5' deep, 800' long trench dug, in order to get electric to my site. Once again - an insane amount of ginormous rocks!

During the electric trench back-filling, I got my first flat tire on Trogdor.

Setting up the very first steel box-beam post for a front corner of the garage. This was later encased in it's own concrete pad.

The front garage wall frame, embedded in concrete. You can also see the wood skeletons for my obelisks.

The steel frame for the garage was erected in one day!

Back down to the house, I set up the very first door frame. This is the back door leading out of the utility room, just off the kitchen.

Here you can see the loft floor rim in place, with assorted support posts that will later be concreted (not sure that's a proper verb) into place.

I decided to pour concrete cabinet bases, seperate from the floor. Here's the island base mid-kitchen, with the protruding gas pipe for the cooktop.

Some -o- the real fun stuff has been building forms for the curved pony wall (under the breakfast bar), and wall amid the steps down from the entryway

More wet-set blocks helped shape the entryway and staircases leading down into the dining room and kitchen. The curved wall form will go in between.

I've been dreaming of cantilevered, concrete benches, built into the dining room wall for MANY MOONS! The front edge was formed from a decorative mold
